Wind Turbine Quality Inspection Technician
We are looking for a skilled and safety‑focused Wind Turbine Quality Inspection Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will perform detailed inspections of wind turbine components to ensure compliance with quality standards, technical specifications, and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive visual, mechanical, and dimensional inspections of major turbine components including blades, generators, gearboxes, and electrical systems.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to verify installation accuracy and compliance.
- Perform pre‑installation and final quality inspections for installations, campaigns, and corrective work.
- Execute boltscope inspections and document all findings precisely.
- Conduct and verify torque checks according to required technical specifications.
- Complete detailed inspection reports using Windows‑based reporting tools.
- Carry out high‑voltage and low‑voltage testing in alignment with NEC standards to validate electrical integrity.
- Inspect wiring, terminations, and grounding systems for adherence to safety codes.
- Identify defects, non‑conformities, and safety hazards; record and report findings with full accuracy.
- Assist with generator repairs, welding tasks, and mechanical or electrical maintenance as needed.
- Climb wind turbines safely using proper rigging methods and required PPE.
- Support construction and installation teams during turbine builds or upgrade activities.
- Communicate inspection findings clearly to engineering, site leadership, and project stakeholders.
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience working on SGRE SG ‑129 or SG ‑145 platforms (highly preferred).
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical schematics and engineering drawings.
- Background in quality inspection within wind energy, renewable power, or industrial environments.
- Proficiency with Windows‑based applications and digital reporting tools.
- Mandatory boltscope inspection experience.
- Hands‑on experience using torque tools and performing critical torque verification.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent documentation skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel between multiple wind farm locations.
- Proven experience working at heights and climbing turbines safely.
- Construction site experience with solid understanding of safety procedures and site operations.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and specialized inspection equipment.
Training & Certification Requirements
- Job Level: QA / Basic Technician
- Mandatory Boltscope Training
- Mandatory SGRE platform experience
- Current safety certifications relevant to wind turbine, electrical, or construction operations (GWO preferred).
- Additional technical training relevant to wind farm work is an asset.
Candidates with hands-on experience working on Siemens Gamesa SGRE platforms, specifically the SG‑129 or SG ‑145, will be given strong preference.
Technicians who have their own vehicle (truck or 4×4 SUV) will also receive priority consideration.
